Blue Bird Houses..... can be life savers for the diminishing blue birds of our world. Blue birds nest in cavities which means they seek a natural hole or blue bird house. Blue Bird houses should have a hole size of 1.5" in diameter.
With the loss of their natural habitat thru the loss of dead trees and with the growth of suburban areas around citys, the blue birds need all of the help we can give them.
When hanging blue bird houses, mount them at least 100' apart. In winter, blue birds will roost together in your blue bird houses to help conserve their body heat.
Blue birds nest early, so make sure that house is ready in February. See our articles on how to help attract these blue bird friends to your back yard.
