Owls.....have several things in common. With specially designed eyes, ears and wings, which helps them when searching for food. Owls eyes are 10 times more sensitive to light than human eyes, but with thier short sightedness, they must hunt close to the ground. Owls eyes move very little, there they must turn there heads to follow their prey, sometimes turning their head as much as 270 degree. Owls have the most highly developed sense of hearing of all birds. With the ears being on the face, thier facial feathers help to amplify and channel sounds to thier ears, much like our ears do.
Owls are not nest builders, choosing to nest in cavities and Owl houses.
